One of the most famous dishes to not come from Nice is the salad Niçoise. In the UK for example, there is a notion that it has to contain certain ingredients such as green beans, tomato, boiled egg and potato. But don’t expect to have a dish matched to what you’re used to at home; in Nice the Salad Nicoise contains the same ingredients as it’s poorer cousin the Pan Bagnat, minus the bread.
